| I
received a ticket and went to school to avoid the points. Why
does that not show up on my three-year or seven-year driving
record? |
Back to FAQs |
The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
(DHSMV) three-year and seven-year driving records only indicate
infractions that are adjudicated (settled by a judge or
court).
|
For example, if you had a driving infraction and paid
the fine, your record would indicate the date of DISPOSITION
of the ticket by the courts and the number of points assessed.
If, however, you received a ticket and went to driving school,
then NO points were assessed (Adjudication Withheld), your
three-year and seven-year record will not contain the information.
|
Non-moving violations generally carry zero points, but
usually appear on your record because they are adjudicated.
